About The New Covenant Fellowship
New Covenant was founded in October 1982 by John “Jack” Brand, his wife Kathy, and Rex and Ondra Nichols.
The Lord had spoken to them to begin a full gospel work in the Hawley, PA area. The beginning of the vision began that October in the home of Jack and Kathy in Tafton, PA.
In April of 1983, the old Odd Fellows room, above what was then the Pots and Pans store on Main Avenue in Hawley, was rented to start services. Much work went into preparing the room and meeting the needs of those that began to come.
In October of 1987 land became available through a set of miracles, and construction of the present building began. In September 1988 the first service was conducted there.
